Update #5

There was a time I never would have believed that my son would get up in front of people and perform. This is a school that nurtures the social and emotional dispositions of children and the results are astounding!

Hot Cocoa House 2019 was a huge entertaining success! This annual tradition of showcasing our stellar Music Program mid-year, in band form under the expert tutelage of professional musicians & Soundview Prep music teachers Jesse Lewis & Alex Smith, was celebrated in community & enjoyed by an audience of alumni, family, friends, teachers, parents & peers today. The process of creating bands begins in September as morning music classes collaborate to learn instruments, write music & perform original and cover works together. The highlight of their hard work culminates in this annual event and is an all-school favorite!

Whiteboards and cameras and books ...oh my! Small independent schools have the same wish list as most large schools with less funding! Your support helps fund these resources to provide for students like Jadon!!!! Please know that your funding goes directly to supporting learning and programing for the school - it does not get caught up in red tape! Look at this HAPPY kid!!!! #smallschoolBIGTHINGS

Update #3

Simple things...(small things) ."I was invited to a sweet 16" that some might think are typical - are not typical for our son. For him this is a BIG THING. At Soundview this happens for him. He "fits in" and is celebrated for who he is. #smallschoolBIGTHINGS

Update #2

Thank you Kathy!!! This school literally saved our son. He was lost in the public school - it was overwhelming - large, sports oriented. He would sit alone in the bathroom crying or eat lunch in the guidance counselors office but was "academically" doing well. When we switched him to Soundview we knew it would be different - private school is costly but we did what we had to. He is now thriving, socially, academically, and giving back to the community - started his own club etc.... the school is very small - average classes are 4 to 7 kids per teacher. A school like this needs support anywhere we can get it to exist!!!!! So thankful for your sharing, caring and love!!!! XOXO
