We have three main goals this year, now that we have built & opened the library. 1. Create a local literacy program for kids and adults 2. Add shelving and more books 3. Fund sanitary products for school girls

This fundraising is for our next phase! We now want to keep the library running, start literacy programs for the local community, fund sanitary products for school girls so they don't miss school and keep building and expanding the library with equipment, shelving, computers, books and other resources.
We aim to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining in 2.2 years once the library memberships increase and COVID impact and disruptions diminish. Thus we depend on donor generosity like yours to fund part of our library, pay our librarian Ashley's salary, pay for electricity, internet and all the other costs of maintaining a rural library.
Maria Burpee, one of the founding members, enjoys trail running and is working increasingly hard race after race to race to improve. She has set her sights on April 23rd, 21KM race in Vouzela to raise funds for the library. So please give if you can and support the growth of the library, Maria will do the hard work and run for the cause!
