We are Empire State Roller Derby - we are a team of coed skaters made up of all ages and walks of life.
We share a few things in common and at the top of the list is our love for animals. Our team does our best to give back to the community that we skate in, and animal shelters are always in need of donations.
Through this fundraiser, we are hoping to raise enough funds to give a sizable donation to a few local animal shelters. With the cold weather coming, getting the animals blankets/towels, beds, food and even toys to keep their spirits up are all necessary for these shelters to keep the animals they have.
We would also like to strongly encourage everyone to visit the shelters - even if it's just to take a dog for a walk, or check out the available "potential" pets. Every animal deserves a home, and living behind bars in a shelter is not that.
