This November I'm riding in Puka Up's charity ride - 331.8kms over 3 days, to remember the 3318 people who died by suicide in 2019. As well as those before and since who were close to me and to you.
far too many of us are affected by suicide ...
My involvement with Triple M's No Talk Day the last 3 years, working closely with Beyond Blue has significantly shaped suicide prevention as an important cause for me which is why I've chosen to do this ride with Puka Up - an organisation that believes investing in your health should start with your mind. They put well-being first, always, through normalising conversations around mental health.Their mission: to see suicide reduced to zero.
I'm grateful to Southern Cross Austereo, the wonderful company I work for, who are supporting my fundraising goal by matching it dollar for dollar.
As part of your support, I invite you to nominate someone you may have lost to suicide. I will add their name to a riding vest I'm having made ...
It will be my privilege to carry those names as a way of remembering them.
your donation will help launch Puka Up's 'Foundations of Wellbeing' online course - a science-backed, evidence-based, preventative wellbeing course designed specifically for Australian businesses in conjunction with Melbourne University & alffie
