Help support great weather forecasts from Seth's Weather Report. It's not required but helps with the time it takes to make detailed and accurate weather forecast for Colorado. Know the weather before you go!
My passion for weather started at a young age. Growing up in Alamosa, Colorado I would watch the Weather Channel to see when snow-storms were going to hit Wolf Creek ski area so I could go ski some powder. Skiing powder and watching the Weather Channel sparked my interest in weather. I went on to get a degree in physics from CU boulder with a minor in Atmospheric Science and eventually I received my master's degree in Atmospheric Science from CU. I was hired by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) as a student assistant in 1999 and then hired full-time as a Software Engineer in 2001 and have been working full-time at NCAR ever since. I have always enjoyed forecasting the weather and take pride in my forecasts. In 2012 by buddy Braydon Hancock started this group so his buddies could see my forecasts for winter storms to determine best places to ski/ride some powder. The group has grown tremendously over the last 8 years with over 6,000 members now. The group is focused on forecasting for Denver/Boulder, the adjacent foothills and mountains and most of the north-central mountains in/around Summit County. I also forecast for all of Colorado during high impact events. I love winter storms in-particular and love skiing powder! Being outside (winter and summer) and forecasting the weather is a huge passion for me. The donations will help me continue to produce detailed forecasts for Colorado. Thank you for the support!
