More Info

I already have a service dog, her name is Chloe she’s a golden doodle. I got her when she was 3 months old, she is now 19 months  and  I trained her myself. As she has grown her physical needs have unfortunately become way too demanding, due to my health I haven’t been able to keep up with her so I have decided to retire her. This was a very difficult decision and one that I do not take lightly.  I have raised her and watched her grow, and after all this time I love her very much.  However I am in desperate need of a new service dog that can help me with my  day to day struggles.   I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was 7 years old And have arthritis all over my body. I was diagnosed with PTSD when I was 12 after being abused for 8-10 years. I am asking for help to pay for a new companion, but more importantly, to pay for Co-training classes.  These classes will help me learn more about training a service dog, and will have people around me to help deal with obstacles of having a service dog. This class would also help me with my own daily routines that can be not only physically demanding, but mentally demanding as well.  Because of my arthritis things as simple as using stairs or going to the grocery store become daily obstacles.  My service animal will be better equipped to  help me keep my balance when doing things like walking, and to calm me down when I have my panic attacks. But above anything else the service animal could potentially alert nearby people in an emergency situation like fainting or falling.  Due to the nature of my illnesses, this training class is necessary for my service animal to attend in order to deal with my physical condition. Thank you for your donations and taking the time to read my story.
