Help Seeds in the Middle empower students in central Brooklyn, one of NYC's unhealthiest & lowest-income neighborhoods, to create healthy choices like student-run Hip2B Healthy fresh markets, healthy cooking, and soccer!
It makes us very sad to meet so many bright, engaging children and know they have so little chance to have healthy lives and choices to succeed because of where they are born and live. That's why we engage volunteers from all walks of life and the dedicated school teachers and faculties and communities to empower youth to be positive change-makers in some of New York City's lowest-income and most challenged neighborhoods.
If you give today, you help kids get the same opportunities many of us take for granted. Take a look at our fundraiser for fresh food for PS 284 in Brownsville - if you donate, every dollar will be matched at this site bit.ly/ps284freshfood. Your funds will also help us fund kids to play soccer in underserved neighborhoods in Brooklyn where there are so few options to play ball. Isn't access to a healthy life a civil right? We think so.
