Update #5

Nearly two months after their rescue, only 3 of the dogs remain in our care. We’re deeply grateful for the kindness and generosity of all of you who donated to help us cover the often intense care of these cruelty victims. Thanks to you, animals like Annie (fka Grace) here with her forever family are learning about a life full of love and hope. The campaign is closing having exceeded its goal, with the additional funds going to future victims of cruelty and neglect. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Update #4

Lots of news to report! Another five dogs just went up for adoption at our Georgetown Campus, plus the single kitty rescued went up for adoption this weekend. And five dogs previously medically cleared are now in forever homes. This photo shows a beautiful moment during Gracie’s adoption.

The remaining dogs in our care continue to make good progress, and we hope they too can find loving homes soon. We’re now almost a month into helping these dogs recover, so your kind donation has gone a long way to making that care possible!

Update #3

Big day tomorrow! The first three dogs will become available for adoption at the Georgetown Campus: Gracie (terrier mix), Mya (Shih Tzu), Cooper (Standard Poodle). We can’t wait to see them join families who will love them forever. The other dogs continue to recover in our care. Heartfelt thanks to all of you who have sent your love and donations to help these animals!

Update #2

We’re pleased to report an arrest has been made in this case. The Delaware Office of Animal Welfare (OAW) arrested Donald Eilander of Seaford. He was arraigned on 449 charges, including felony animal cruelty.

Meanwhile, intense care and treatment continues at our Georgetown Campus. This beautiful girl in the photo is Sally, whose “before” photo you saw on our fundraising page as the first photo. We’re looking forward to helping Sally and the other survivors in this horrific case recover and find forever families. Thank you for making that possible with your generous donation!

Update #1

We’re so grateful to all of you who contributed to help care for the 32 animals we rescued, followed by the 60 cats from another home over this week. Seeing the suffering can be overwhelming, but we’re focused on their care and opening up what’s possible for them in their future.

The dogs have all been groomed, which made a huge difference in their quality of life. The focus now is on their special feeding program to help them gain weight. Here's a photo of one of the dogs after grooming. The weight was truly lifted off their shoulders. Thank you for making this difficult and important work possible!
