Update #13

Hi fellow spooksters! A few things to update on...our Northern Express article got moved to June 27th so keep your eyes peeled for that!

We completed edits on our manuscript! Holy Guacamole! Next steps include proofreading and working with the designer for book interior and exterior (front and back cover).

Only one more update after this one before our fundraiser wraps up! Thank you so much to all our supporters! We have paid our first Mission Point Press invoice in full and are only $288 away from paying our second invoice! That's amazing thanks to all of you. If you are still interested in supporting us go to https://fundly.com/scary-stories-for-creepy-kids-book and don't forget all supporters get their name on the acknowledgement page of the book :)

Creep it real!

Update #12

Hi Creepy Friends! Just a few more updates before our fundraising campaign is over! Be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram or by following our podcast to stay connected :)

We are working on making some of our story titles for the book more catchy and exciting. For example, we changed "The Thing" to the "Lurking Lizard" We also added some new totally gruesome stories that have not yet been released such as "Teddy Bear, Teddy Scare" and "Big Toe Bandit" and "Burgerhead."

We also made some 'merch' as pictured :) Purchasing merch also helps us raise money as we get a commission with each item sold. Our SSCK merch or, "sick merch" as we like to call it, is in our link tree at linktr.ee/scarystoriesforcreepykids. We still need $450 to be able to pay our second invoice to continue working with our publisher/designer/editor.

Thanks so much to everyone. We are aiming to have the book finalized by the fall! Because of course we need it ready before spooky season!

Update #8

We've been working on improving our story telling skills! We both just finished up Parallel 45 theater camp! And Ayla is also in Old Town Playhouse camp and will be in a play next week!

We also wanted to share that Scary Stories for Creepy Kids was featured in the current issue of Northern Michigan Woman :) Check it out here https://mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?m=66572&i=746109&p=20&ver=html5

Our fundraising is going well! With fundly and cash donations combined we are nearly to the halfway point. We are able to pay our first payment with our publisher but need to keep going to raise enough to pay the next payment. If you haven't already, please consider supporting our project. Thank you to all! This is such a fun experience!

We also have some really cool news to share...those who donate any amount to help us out will have their name included IN THE BOOK! How super fun is that?! If you haven't already, donate today and we will add your name to the list to include on the acknowledge page for those who helped support us in making this book happen. Yay!

Thanks for all of your help!

Update #5

You've help us hit 25% our our goal! Thank you! In addition to getting our stories together, we've been working super hard on our recipes and on creating artwork to go with our stories!

We are $800 away from being able to pay our initial fee to hire our editor and designer. If you haven't already done so, please consider supporting us to get started on our Book Project. If you’ve already donated, thank you so much, you can continue to support us by spreading the word about our campaign, giving us a 5 star review on Apple podcast, and listening to the podcast.

Thank you all!

Update #4

Oh my we've been busy! We are getting all of our stories together into a manuscript for the publisher, creating art to go with some of our stories, and making some fun recipes for our book! In addition to that...we were interviewed by The Four on 9and10 news! We even gave Monika a tarot card reading! The segment hasn't aired yet but when it does we will be sure to post the link on our Facebook page.

We are currently at $1100 towards our goal of $4000. That is simply amazing and thanks to all of you!

If you'd still like to support us here are some ways that really help:

-make a donation so we can hire local editors and designers
-like and share our posts
-listen to our podcast
-give us a 5 star rating on apple podcast - this helps tons!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Update #3

Along with their scary stories, the girls are coming up with some spooky and kid friendly recipes to put in their book...Ayla's idea! They include zombie pops, body part burritos, and, as pictured here, not so scary sushi!! When we reach $1000 (and we are just $50 away from that), we are going to start getting everything in order including re-reading stories and doing any edits on our end, figuring out what drawings to use for our stories, and determining how many recipes we want to include!

These girls are working hard...please consider supporting them...any and all support is appreciated so much...here are some ways to support:

-making a donation so they can hire editors/designers for their book project
-sharing their project and podcast
-listening to their podcast
-giving them a 5 star rating on apple podcast

Thank you and, as the girls say, peace out!!!
