Since the beginning of this semester, my class has been training animals (sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens) for the school's annual "Little I" livestock show. My pig Kirby, like many of the others, has learned to come when called, target train, follow me wherever I go and walk on command. He loves apples and carrots as treats! Recently, we learned that most of the Little I animals will not be staying at the school, but will be sold at auction after the show this Saturday. My goal is to raise enough money to buy Kirby before the auction and help cover some of his future care at a local farm sanctuary. If I don't, he will almost certainly be slaughtered for meat since he is a castrated male and cannot breed. If you can donate even 1 dollar please do! He is such an intelligent, loving creature and he deserves a long, full life. Even if you cannot donate, please share his story. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
