My cat Angel has been my rock, and she's now suffering from some kind of blockage in her abdomen.

Angel has seen a vet today, and was let go to roam beyond the rainbow bridge. Fuck cancer.
Whoever said that cats don't love their owners has never met Angel.
I wasn't looking for another cat when my roommate (at the time) wanted one. We found two sisters who were just out of the "cute kitten" stage that everyone desperately wants cats for. The roommate settled on one cat, and I said, "We can't split them up now!"
Angel's that cat who tries to have conversations with you. I can't tell you how many times I've been on the phone with someone, walking into the house, to get an earload that certainly sounds like a mom wondering where her kid has been, that she's been worried sick, and you could have CALLED.
A few weeks ago, I noticed she'd lost weight in a short span. She was wanting food more, wanting water more, having diarrhea. Her stomach is distended while you can feel her spine way too easily. I took her to the vet. They found hyperthyroidism with anemia. They gave me meds to try and get the hyperthyroidism under control.
It's not working. She's still constantly hungry, despite the meds. She's still skinny on top, and her belly keeps getting worse. Means she needs more tests to find out what's going on. I know that things are rough right now, which is why I'm sending this into the void. I need to know what's wrong so that we can make a plan of action after that.
I don't want to lose her, but, if this is a tumor like the vet thinks it may be, we need to know sooner rather than later. If you can help, you have no idea how grateful I would be. I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and please send us good thoughts.

Discovered a few days ago that she's been somehow pocketing her meds in her cheek & spitting them out in sleeping spaces. Transdermal meds here we come.
