More Info

Foundation for the Santa Susana Mountains

The primary purpose for which this corporation operates is to promote and support the educational and interpretive activities of the California State Park System, principally in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas, more specifically within the Angeles District of California State Park System and Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park, to support scientific investigations and studies relating to these areas, and presentations of these subjects to the public.

Our Fund-Raising Focus - July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support the following activities in the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park:
  • Increasing school children visits, which will help ensure the future of the park and has been statistically shown to decrease vandalism.
  • Increasing general public education, which helps people treat the area with respect and increases repeat visits by family-friendly visitors.

Remembering Diana Dixon-Davis

Frank and Alison Davis made a donation to support preservation in the Simi Hills/Santa Susana Mountains in memory of local legend/community activist Diana Dixon-Davis. Diana volunteered at the Native American Interpretive Education Center during third grade field trips to the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park and was one of the few that could make acorn paste in the traditional way. If you would like to support field trips for third graders, please go to: http://fundly.com/santasusanamountainspreservation
