Thank you for considering a donation to Sanford Lake Special Needs Camp for 2015.  Every August at the Community of Christ Campground in Sanford, Michigan a very exciting weekend takes place. For four days Campers ranging in age from 12 to 65 with mild to severe mental and physical Special Needs arrive for an amazing weekend, one they look forward to, each and every Summer.  Upon arrival each Camper is paired with one or two volunteer Counselors to be their "buddy" for the weekend.  And they truly are buddies - the campers and volunteers do every aspect of the fun filled weekend together.  Some of our campers and volunteers have been buddied together for more than 15 years, and a few of the campers have been in attendance for more than 25 years.

The camp is absolutely free for the campers and volunteers and includes lodging, food and fun activities such as arts & crafts, special olympics, a carnival, campfires, fishing, swimming, boating and a talent show. Each day, 3 tasty meals are provided to nearly 100 people in attendance. And this is where we need your generous help.  All of this unforgettable food, fun and friendship comes at no cost to anyone attending the camp, but as you can imagine this does get expensive.  It's an amazing help for the families or care takers of our campers to have a free weekend summer camp.  Please help us to keep it that way. This fundraising campaign will be used to fund this year's Camp to be held July 31 - August 3. Leftover funds will be applied to future Camps.

You can help keep this camp free of charge to all involved by donating now!
