Earth Day is April 22nd and in honor of this day, we are using the 5,200 acres of Forest Park to inspire us to help maintain, preserve and restore the park. To do so we are raising money for our beautiful urban forest and the conservancy that helps maintain it by holding a Miles for Forest Park challenge.
Forest Park offers itself to the family, athlete, and every day forest explorer with gorgeous views, beautiful structures and perfect single track.
Now it’s our turn to give back to this forest that gives so much to us.
Kicking off the weekend before Earth Day, April 17th & 18th, we challenge you to run, walk and hike what you can with the goal to raise money towards the Forest Park Conservancy. We are suggesting a $52 donation but also getting friends and family to support you in donating per mile you run, walk or hike or donating a lump sum on your behalf. Kicking off on April 17th, the fundraiser will conclude at the end of June - track your miles the whole time and turn them into donations!
The top 3 highest fundraisers will receive amazing prizes from our partners and sponsors. And every participant will be entered into a raffle for other awesome prizes.
But wait, there’s more! If you are someone (like us) that needs a little bit more structure, we have created three routes within Forest Park. Runners that participate in these structured routes will have the opportunity to achieve “place” prizes. You have through June to finish the structured route and submit it to email@example.com to earn your medal and qualify for place prizes!
Below are the structured route options:
