52.4 miles stand between me and my goal of raising $3,000 for The Tucker Witty Memorial Fund. I'll tackle the first 26.2 in Scranton, PA on October 13th, one week before Tucker's 30th birthday. On November 24th, I'll complete the second 26.2 in Philadelphia, PA which was home for Tucker and his fiance, Michelle. Please help me in raising money to spread Tucker's love of skateboarding - your support would mean the world!
The Tucker Witty Memorial Fund was established in January of 2019 after the death of Tucker Witty, the 29-year-old son of Ellyn Spragins and John Witty, brother of Keenan Witty and fiancé to Michelle Montalbano. In addition to being engaged to be married, Tucker had just started a new job, and had a full life with family and friends who adored him.
Among his many interests was a life-long passion for skateboarding. The Tucker Witty Memorial Fund provides full-tuition scholarships to Woodward Camp, a prominent skateboarding camp in Woodward, PA which Tucker attended during the 1990s. He was a kind, funny, shy, athletic and hard-working young man who is deeply missed by his family, friends and fiancé. Tucker’s loved ones hope the recipients of these scholarships expand their skateboarding skills and have a ton of fun doing it. They believe that is one of the best ways they can honor Tucker’s memory.
