Recently 9 people were detained in the Upper Valley in various locations. We are disgusted and outraged by this and the implications it has for collaboration between various local police and Dartmouth campus security agencies and ICE. We are putting out a call for donations and we are holding a rally to show local government that we will not back down until an uncompromising non-cooperation ordinance is passed in Hartford.
RISE! Upper Valley is a POC and Black LGBTQIA+ led grassroots organization working diligently against the violently oppressive actions of Police and ICE. We are currently working on providing aid to our members, most of which come from communities affected by the increase of racial profiling, police brutality, and ICE raids.
Help RISE! Upper Valley raise funds to make bail should we or local community aiding us be detained during our upcoming mobilization this Wednesday August 14th.
Thank you for considering donating! Any amount or attention helps.

Thank you so much to everyone who mobilized so quickly! On July 30th, the Hartford Select Board made the disappointing decision to not vote anything into policy or legislation after promising us results by the 30th for over a month. We cannot wait. Our at risk communities cannot wait. Rally with us! Please continue to donate and look for updates from as as we plan our next moves on our current campaign to make the Upper Valley safer for immigrants and people of color.

July 30th is the Hartford, VT Town Hall meeting where the select board will be voting on a non-cooperation ordinance between local police and ICE. If passed it would be one of the strongest non-cooperation policies in the country! Any current donations will be going towards supporting protesters at the event for transportation and food.
