Generous GEEKS utilizes S.T.E.M.(Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics) learning to bring activities, encouragement, and support to underfunded school systems, senior residents, and hospitalized youth.
They say laughter is the best medicine, and here at Generous G.E.E.K.S. we strive to bring joy to the places that need it most. Whether it’s playing games to increase S.T.E.M. skills to the children of our community, holding creative contests to provide opportunities for the people of our community to showcase their artistic skills, or simply providing enjoyable games for the elderly, deployed soldiers, hospitalized children, or troubled youth, our goal is to make life better wherever we can. A smile a day may not make all the pain go away, but it’s a reminder of the hope and happiness that exists around us all.
October 2018 we set out on a mission to make a difference, and with communities help we were able to host a Comic Book Contest with Williamson High School in Mobile, AL. Williamson had gone through some major budget cuts that ended up with the merger of both middle grades and high school grades, while also cutting out almost every extra curricular activities. The Comic book contest not only encouraged the students but also brought art and creative writing to the school with a fun twist. The winner of the contest is having their comic book published and will be sold across comic stores and comic book conventions with all proceeds going back to the school for funding extracurricular activities. This is but one example of how we want to make a difference in our Communities but we can't do it without your support!
