Several special dogs have come in to our rescue that are on the waiting list for medical care. We desperately need help with funds in order to get them the veterinary care they need. Please help us to help them!
Ares is a 2 week old puppy that came to us last week after his mom was hit and killed by a car. He is being bottle fed along with his siblings, but it is clear that something about Ares is not normal. He has what appears to be a head and eye deformity, and needs a full veterinary check up as soon as possible to determine what needs to be done to give him his best chance at survival. Depending on the outcome of that exam, he will most likely need further treatment or surgery to live a healthy life.
Bo, Tug, and Akela are 3 'feral' dogs who we trapped over the winter after getting a heartwrenching plea for help. These 3 dogs have been living on their own for most of their lives, creating multiple litters of unwanted puppies and receiving no vet care. They were sleeping under a broken down truck with no shelter in the harsh winter. We have been working down the long road to socializing these dogs who have never had a loving touch, and coming up with solutions for where they can live out their lives in safety and with regular care. They have no aggression, but are terrified of humans. All 3 dogs desperately need to see a vet to get their vaccinations, heartworm tests, and be spayed/neutered. Much of the routine care we do 'in house' cannot be done with these dogs, because of their fear of handling. They will need to be sedated for surgery and to receive their basic vaccines as well as health exams.
Friday is a sweet and amazing 11 year old boy that lost his family due to no fault of his own. He is so anxious to settle in to a stable, forever home but cannot do so until his medical care is complete. Friday needs a full dental worse than any dog we've ever seen, and also has what appears to be a tumor that needs to be examined by a vet. These 5 dogs are all in need of veterinary care ASAP and our medical fund is totally depleted. We need your help to get these dogs the care they need to help them move forward, and to be able to help the next ones in need. We cannot take in any more sick or injured pets until our current ones have gotten the care they wait for. Please help us to help them!
