Well , thankfully we managed to find a Repipe specialist and had the price to repair our leak drop down significantly. We will be paying less than half of what I was previously quoted.

More Info

Hello,

Please help. There is currently a leak from old piping called Kitec which was installed on my house when it was built. When I bought the property, unbeknownst to me it came with it installed. It is now developing leaks prematurely below the kitchen sink area which has resulted in mold. From what I understand,  Kitec is cheap piping solution for builders to use back then, but it was later discovered that it was a defective product from the manufacturer of the pipes, they have since been lawsuits against them and I think they also went bankrupt. My insurance will not cover the cost to replace the pipes only the damage caused by the leak. This is why I am requesting help.

I was quoted $13,000 for a Repipe which would take out the old defective piping and install the newer pipes. Since I have a baby at home and my wife isn't working that much either, we don't have that kind of money. I currently work in a casino but since Covid hit I hadn't had much work at all; and I am currently laid off. If anyone could help fund my plumbing project I would really appreciate it.
