RIP Remington 7/16/2013. We are so sad to see him deteriorate and get worse. He was giving up the fight and we know he is now in a better place. Thanks to all of our supporters and folks watching over him.
Rukus came to us matted, with nodules on his body, and a goofy face. Upon a grooming we uncovered more than we expected from a body full of what appear to be bite wounds draining a black ooze substance, and swollen lymph nodes. The vet testing also confirmed Rukus has valley fever and has been put on a plethora of medications. He has a hard time being picked up, screams out of pain, and runs to lay in his doggie bed after treatments. He is a super sweet and easy boy we are keeping our fingers crossed he recovers quickly.
Remington had been with us for a little while...he was being treated for a "doggy cold" but was not improving, a stronger anitibiotic was admiistered with no success and he began losing weight, So we hoped for Valley Fever but our worst fears came true, very positive for distemper, he is now fighting for his life! With the help of the "distemper serum" we ordered from Texas he stands a much better chance......please keep us in your prayers IT IS NOW CONFIRMED THAT HE HAS DISTEMPER, A VERY DEADLY DISEASE WITH LESS THAN 50% SURVIVAL RATE, BUT AS LONG AS HE KEEPS TRYING......SO WILL WE!!
