Hi, I’m Johnson Sylfrain. I live in Delmas, one of the toughest neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I’m 36, a computer scientist, and I’m hoping to start a family. Our city is in crisis. Gangs have taken over, and every day we live in fear. Violence, kidnappings, and extortion are everywhere. Life here has become unbearable. Every day, we hear about another kidnapping or shooting. It feels like there’s no escape from the violence. “We’ve decided we have to leave our home and move to the countryside for safety and peace. “The journey to the countryside will take about seven hours. It’s a long trip, but we believe it’s our only hope. “Leaving everything behind is hard, but seeing the green fields and feeling the peace of the countryside makes it worth it

We dream of a safe place where our children can play outside without fear. The countryside offers that, but it also means starting over from scratch.” Life there will be safer, but we have many challenges to face. We'll learn to adapt and build a new life.”

This move requires resources we don’t have. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Every contribution can make a big difference in our lives.”

“We are hopeful about our future there, but we need support to make it work.”

“Please, if you can, help us build a safer life. Your support means the world to us. Thank you.”
