Greetings everyone!

It's our great pleasure to note with you all that we now have over 516 people RSVP'd for this panel series! Overflows will be directed to our EHNC YouTube channel, which you can find at this link:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK8Jx-MGh_HHz50WbAY1Mog

The EHNC YouTube channel is also linked at https://EastHollywood.Eventbrite.com).

We are also proud to announce a special partnership to capture feedback or questions from our attendees leading up to the event and during the event or afterwards at the following link: https://Hope.xyz/MakingOurNeighborhood

There, you can video-share feedback, questions, or notes of support for this series, for language justice & accessibility, for journalism and history as crucial experiences for all of us in Making Our Neighborhood, and more!

Finally, following the panel discussion on Thursday evening, we get right back to work finishing up with materials for our panel ZINES, which we need only $400 to complete the fundraiser for. If you can therefore please share this fundraising link with anyone you know who can spare a donation, we will greatly appreciate it.

That's it for updates! Thank you once again for helping us reach this point in what's been a long, but meaningful journey for both of us! Apart from these updates, all that's really left now is for us to close our eyes and then open them up to find the next chapter of our community, waiting for us!

In community, always!

Samanta & J.T.

P.S. We also made it to KPCC's AirTalk program this Wednesday to talk about our series. Find our interview at the link below.

Update #3

Hello everyone!

Sending this 2nd update to you all with only a week and a half left before our BIG panel series! We are adding a second translator to our team to facilitate accessibility for Spanish speakers, and are also excited to share a pic of our Series Pamphlets! We've created 500 pamphlets in Spanish, Armenian, Tagalog and Thai discussing the three major themes of our panel series, and would like to print another 500 to distribute throughout East Hollywood! See and learn more about our pamphlets at this link: https://jimbotimes.com/2021/02/19/our-pamphlets-are-what-language-justice-in-east-hollywood-looks-like/

As a result, we are updating our fundraising request to $3,700. If you can please share with a friend, we know we can do it for our communities! Thanks so much and see you soon!

Update #2

Hi all! We are so excited to announce that we've reached our fundraising goal. Thank you so much for supporting this project. Your donations will go towards printing posters and informational pamphlets for the community, purchasing materials for our public art campaign, compensating designers, paying live translators, and producing a zine about the project's core themes. Today we also launched our Eventbrite page featuring the three panels you can RSVP to: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/east-hollywood-past-present-future-panel-series-32364588277

Hope to see you there (virtually, of course)!
