We are raising money to buy books for a reading club called Reading Rabbits. This club serves to help children from three local primary schools learn English in a fun and education way!
In this club, high school students at the Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS) in Rayong, Thailand volunteer with young children from schools in the local village of Payupnai. The Reading Rabbits book club will not only connect KVIS students with the opportunity to volunteer with local children, but it will also allow these children to develop their English language skills in a fun, educational, and structured environment. For these students, who have little to no access to English language learning, this club could help provide them with language instruction that will ultimately help to broaden their job and educational opportunities in Thailand in the future.
The club volunteers with groups of young children from three local primary schools, Yubtaneng, Wat Payupnai, and Thairat Wittaya 43. The children are playful, smiley (Thailand is the land of smiles after all!), and most importantly, they are eager to learn English.
Unfortunately, importing English children's books to Thailand is very expensive, so any and all donations to buy more books are welcome and very much appreciated. Thank you so much!
