The Vision Must Live On...

From Recycling Black Dollars

In 1988 a young man named Muhammad Ali Nassardeen had a vision. His vision was for Black folk to come together and support one another in their businesses or endeavors and to build a strong coalition.

More Info

Some say he was ahead of his time some say he was right on time. We cannot imagine what would have developed if Muhammad Nassardeen and Nipsey Hussle had the opportunity to meet and have a "meeting of the minds."

It has been 31 years since RBD was started and 13 years since  Muhammad has passed.  RBD has stayed strong and relevant in the community.  We have long counted on corporate sponsorship to sustain us, however, the time is long overdue for us to take care of ourselves.

Do not misunderstand, we appreciate the corporate funding but also know that at any time they can reduce or take away their funding (and some have).
