ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN

In India, education is not free. Public school or private school, the parents have to pay for their children’s education. The result is that poor children do not get an education and are trapped in the cycle of poverty. Although child labour is banned in India, many poor parents send their children off to find work, which causes them to forsake their childhood and get a job to provide for their families.

At the Rock Christian school (fully accredited by the Indian Government) education is given freely to those who can’t afford it. In addition, many nominal Hindus send their children to Rock Christian School because of the high quality of education that is provided. Most of these children find Christ as their Savior and many of their parents become Christians as well.

Rock Christian School currently has 650 students in kindergarten through 10th grade and a qualified teaching staff of 15. In addition to all the government required subjects, each day begins with prayer and Bible classes are taught regularly during the week.

BUT there are 350 kids on a waiting list because the school is not big enough!  If we can raise $90,000, we'll be able to put a second floor on the school and make room for these kids and more!
