Wow! We are over 50% of the way there! Thank you sooo much to everyone in our community who has supported this fundraiser so far. Projects of survival are critical of us to make it through this crisis. Put People First! PA uses the term "projects of suvival" to describe the ways that we take care of our people WHILE we organize to change society. Our We draw on the legacy of the Black Panther Party free health clinics and free breakfast programs as well as the National Union of the Homeless housing takeovers. It's Spring, a season of rebirth, renewal, planting and reaping! Put People First! PA is excited to announce our Spring into Action 2020 Fundraising Campaign to help grow our Community Care Fund, a project of survival! Plant roots with us as we continue sowing the seeds of change in the fight for healthcare as a basic human right. The COVID-19 pandemic and impending economic recession present a unique moment of organizing opportunity for Put People First! PA. This crisis exposes the flaws in our healthcare system and illuminates our collective struggle. The winds of change are blowing and we can reap the momentum. But we need your help!
The poor and dispossessed working class has been under attack for a long time from societal illnesses caused by ecological, economic, social, moral and political devastation. This season is going to be an even more difficult one for us all. PPF-PA's vital work depends on sustaining our statewide network of competent, connected, committed and clear leaders. The Community Care Fund is specifically designated to help PPF-PA leaders put food on their tables and keep a roof over their heads in times of crisis. We need your support now more than ever to continue organizing and building a movement of projects of survival.
We believe that we are our siblings' keepers. Working class people need to unite and have a voice. No one else is going to do it for us. It is our unity that gives us the power to change things and continue sowing our vision. Make a tax-deductible donation to Put People First! On a recent virtual popular education school with leaders from Alabama, a participant who had visited Put People First! PA during the summer of 2019 for an organizing school described how what she learned with us helped her organize more effectively to fight racism, poverty and environmental devastation in Alabama. When you support the leaders of Put People First! PA, you're supporting organization of the poor and dispossessed working class around the country!
