This funding is going directly towards helping get the Pup202 Intermediate Obedience class with Agility training up and running. It will also help pay for a custom-built agility course that is portable.
I have been asked for about a year "what can we do after we graduate from Pup101?" and for the longest time I wasn't too sure. I played around with the idea of doing a second class but wasn't sure where to start. Once I realized there are so many more commands and tricks to teach willing owners and their dogs, I started to research to figure out what was next. That is where Pup202 came up. I wanted to build on what is learned in Pup101 but still have a class that was enjoyable and fun to learn. After doing extensive research and reading I finalized what I was going to teach and this includes how to go through an agility course. I underwent many hours trying to find the right agility equipment but haven't found anything that was completely satisfying to my needs for this class. There are bundles of equipment but they were either too expensive and didn't have everything I wanted or they looked flimsy and unsafe; what I am looking for is something that can withstand multiple uses with many dogs AND something I could fold up and take with me anywhere I needed to go. A foldable and complete agility course made out of quality materials ... easier said than done. Recently I met with someone who is willing to help make this dream a reality however the funds for this project are a bit higher than expected (but will be completely worth it once finished). I also can not complete Pup202 until the agility equipment has been made and is ready to use, it wouldn't be right. This class has been something majorly requested by previous clients and I am so thrilled they are all on board and ready to take the next step in achieving a well rounded, well behaved, and trusted dog and once they have gone through this next class and have completed the agility part, both dog and owner will be unstoppable.
Your donation will go towards getting this agility course built as well as investing in some new equipment and possibly purchasing a trailer to house all the equipment and obstacle course.
