A fire broke out at P.S. ARTS’ storage facility this past Saturday. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but the fire fighters spent 14+ hours battling the blaze.
It will be at least a week until they can enter the building to assess the damage. Unfortunately, the new middle school programs have their fall semester culminating performances in three weeks, and the costumes and sound equipment were stored in those storage units. Additionally, Express Yourself is right around the corner, and the supplies for this event were also in the storage units.
In the hopes to avoid any interruptions of service to their students and community, PS ARTS is looking for donations to help them with costume rentals for the performances on November 22, and to replenish the supplies needed for Express Yourself on November 16.
