Gr8 Eight has teamed up with Dream Africa to launch a self-sustaining multi-sensory learning program for 2,000+ students and teachers! Money raised goes toward the purchase of multi-sensory tools and funding the platform
Gr8 Eight, 501(c)(3), is a philanthropic movement that combines travel with addressing the local needs of people in local communities around the world through advocacy, education, and empowerment.
Gr8 Eight has successfully launched programs in Haiti by providing professional development courses for teachers on creating an inclusive-learning classroom environment, providing screenings for students with suspected learning disabilities, and supporting teachers in the classroom. Additionally, we've provided hands on therapy for children living with disabilities in orphanages, and trained the caregivers to provide basic, ongoing therapy to increase quality of life.
And now.. Gr8 Eight is going to KENYA!...
Gr8 Eight has teamed up with Dream Africa to launch a self-sustaining multi-sensory learning program for 2,000+ students. Gr8 Eight volunteers will travel to Kenya in summer 2019 to train teachers and engage in learning activities with staff and students. We plan on funding the literacy platform for the next 3 consecutive years across 5 schools, and purchase multi-sensory tools to engage in learning.
Gr8 Eight will also be providing food and baby supplies, in addition to services for the Angel Centre orphanage currently housing 44 children.
