Update #2

Volunteers are one of the greatest strengths of Project:Camp. We are so grateful to the many individuals and organizations that came together during this past fire season to support our work. Here are some words from a few of these rockstars that help make camp happen:

"I have worked with children for over 30 years from summer camps to Vacation Bible Schools. Project:Camp was different because the children were different. These kids had experienced terrible losses, but amazingly, they were all so loving and accepting of each other. There was no arguing, no fighting – only empathy, kindness and acceptance of kids that did not even know each other before Project Camp. It was an eye opening experience for myself and my fellow partners."- Grandma Susie, Dixie Fire Response Volunteer

"My experience as a volunteer during Project Camp in Quincy, CA after the devastation of the Dixie fire was unique and deeply moving. I met a group of generous and talented adults willing to share their enthusiasm and love with a group of amazingly resilient children and their families. I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this one-of-a-kind service for for those traumatized by catastrophic events."- Nancy, Dixie Fire Response Volunteer
