A word from Head Coach Chuck Estrada:

This is what him Coach says: Friends and family please consider helping Brian out! He’s a senior at CCHS in Canon City and he has the opportunity to play for me in Denver for my reserve team. Travel every week will be costly but this young man has shown strength and determination that I cannot ignore! We tell our kids as parents that we want the best for them and we will go to the ends to support them! Brian deserves a chance at a dream! Anything will help and all monies donated will go directly to helping Brian realize a dream!

More Info

I have played soccer since I was 5 years old; we lived in a small community so we practiced at home but then had to drive over an hour to go to games. My love for the game has kept me going, even when people said I could not do it and tried to make me quit, I keep fighting and giving 100% to my teammates, training  and coaches. Throughout the years, I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment and sacrifice. Although, I have primarily been a Defensive player, I have played every position in soccer. I am versatile and can jump from one position to another anytime my team needs me to.  During my sophomore and junior years of high school, I was a "swing" player and played both Junior Varsity and Varsity. When I was playing Junior Varsity the coach told me to lead the team and if I saw something that needed to be changed to act on it because he couldn’t see everything going on the field, sometimes these changes lead to victories.

I am a fighter and refuse to give up and I try to NEVER let my team down. I have always been able to "sneak" by to take control of the ball. During the summer of 2019, I trained and became a part of the Colorado Springs Futbal club but we all knew I would stop training with them to complete my 4th and last year as a Canon City Tiger and to graduate in 2020, then rejoin my team in Colorado Springs, College or professional team.

Playing Soccer gave me time where I could mentally and physically escape from everything else and play my game to the best of my ability and with all of my heart.  Playing soccer was, is and will continue to be my life.  When I started this journey everyone dismissed it and told me “It can’t be done, you won’t play college or pro soccer” and many other statements but now I have the ability, determination, commitment and the perseverance to prove everyone who doubted me wrong and to keep playing soccer because I do love the sport and always have.

I want to be able to help others who are dealing with difficult situations and become an advocate. I know how much soccer and my teammates helped me to get this far and I want to continue this tradition, with my post high school career.
