About My Campaign

For most of its eight decade long history, the Charity League of Paducah has kept scrapbooks detailing the news and events of the League. A rich resource of photos and information, the scrapbooks had begun to age and decay.

This year we decided to organize the scrapbooks and send them off to a preservation company to have all the scrapbooks digitally scanned and archived. Due to the size and scale of the job, the cost of the project far outweighed the estimate.

We have decided to reach out to the Ladies of the League both past and present for help. All of you have experienced first-hand the invaluable part the League has played in our community over the past 80 years. Please help us preserve that history for future generations.

Once the scrapbooks have been scanned, we hope to share the photos and stories with all of you both online and hopefully in a commemorative book. Afterwards, we plan to place the scrapbooks in the Special Collections archive at the McCracken County Public Library where they can be properly stored and protected.
