Preschool for Ghana, Africa

Preschool for Ghana, Africa

From Sean Owen

Last year I raised $1,400 to help reconstruct a preschool in Ghana, Africa. That money was a big help, but was not enough to complete to project. I'm raising additional money so they can finish the structure!

More Info

Hi! My name is Sean Owen. I grew up in Salt Lake City, UT and am now currently living in Southwest Michigan.

A couple fun facts about me that you might know:

  • I visited a remote village in Ghana, Africa called Wudzedeke (try saying that 5 times fast) back in 2012
  • At the completion of the trip, they made me the Chief of Development (yep! that's Chief to you, buddy)
  • I did a Book Drive back in 2012-2013 and sent them 250lbs worth of books. I received the honor of having their library name after me, the "Sean Walter Owen Library"
  • Last year I raised money to help them rebuild their preschool that had been destroyed by a severe storm

I had a generous turnout last year and was able to raise $1,400. This was enough money to get the framework of the preschool in place, however not enough to complete it.

I'm raising money again to try to get the preschool finished this time around. Donations this year will go towards building more robust walls and doors for the school. This is a very real opportunity to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. Please donate as much, or as little, as fits your budget. Thanks!!
