Thank you everyone -- we've been able to buy more than a dozen generators and most of them have been in use since early January in trenches around Bakhmut. Your generosity has helped save lives in Ukraine, for that I'm forever grateful! Here is a little video from the grateful recipients: https://vimeo.com/792633437/2d192b436c

More Info

Over the past few weeks my GraciaFilms team still in Ukraine (around 30 people) has asked me to do all I can to find portable generators. The guys from the video are mostly in volunteer "Territorial Defense Units" and they have not been issued them yet, although the winter is worsening. A few, like Artem Ryzhykov (GraciaFilm’s cinematographer) joined the army and has been rotated to the front. Even they lack these generators.

As you can imagine, generators are needed for everything from powering heaters (in trenches and in hospitals), charging phones, drones and computers, thermal vision cameras, etc. The cost for the highest quality and most reliable is around $2,500 for a complete set (we are sourcing them from Europe to Kyiv, and I'm covering transport costs).

My GraciaFilms team needs around 10 generators in total, and I'm donating the first one. If you or any of your colleagues wanted to sponsor a generator, I would cover the costs of getting it into the hands of my staff (actors turned warriors), provide receipts / photos, and you would be sure that they would make an immediate positive impact for someone I worked with directly (a donation on Monday will result in a generator by Friday - this is my full time job now).

For any donations over $500, you do so through our not-for-profit sponsor Rattapallax (their mission is to promote artists, filmmakers, poets and filmmakers globally, with a focus now on Ukraine), and since my team are all Ukrainian artists, their board has approved being our umbrella sponsor and handling tax deduction forms, waiving fees, etc.). All details for making a tax deductible donation are here:

Thank you!
