I'm in need of help covering my first months rent, security deposit, and pet deposit for the handicap accessible apartment I'm so in need of. Some days I need help walking, eating, and dressing. My name is Jasen and I...
Progressive Multiple Sclerosis is an extremely challenging disease because unlike other varieties of MS it tends to keep moving forward destroying the myelith that protect the nerves in our brains and spines. I never know whether I'm going to be able to walk and take care of my needs each day until I wake up.Its Progressing and Unpredictable. For example I have ended up in a coma for weeks at a time due to double pneumonia. This has occured four times within the last two years. Sometimes I also will lose consciousness and fall on my face. I have continuously run into problems by living in apartments or houses where they were not handicap friendly. The last place I was in, the owner refuses to put in a small ramp for my hoveround. Therefore, on the days I couldn't walk I was stuck. The new apartments I will be moving into have ramps, railings, safety rails in bathtub, and emergency pull strings where someone will respond immediately. This is the definitely the best place. If I had lived here previously my recovery times would have been better.
