Hi my name is Patrick Panaro,
I’ve been my parents caregiver for the past 2 years, I was working but when my parents fell Ill I decided to take care of them my job wouldn’t even give me a LOA so I left , because family always comes first. My mother who was supposed to have heart valve replacement surgery in March of 2020 but after the pandemic hit us everything kept getting postponed, she finally had her surgery March 2nd and on 3/19/22 she passed away her heart just wasn’t strong enough. My father who spoke with her everyday anxiously waiting for her to come home was living just to see her another day and hold her hand in bed like they did every night. After getting the news that my mother didn’t make it broke down and I could literally see the life go out of his eyes . Less than 24 hrs later on 3/20/22 my father passed away at home where he always wanted to be. If an autopsy was performed I would say he died of a broken heart. After not working for two years and my parents on Medicare, not Medicaid which if it was Medicaid I could’ve got paid to take care of them instead of nothing when your on Medicare. I can’t afford the funeral expenses for both of them.the cost is $25,500 I’m not looking for anything extra just what I need to take care of the funeral bill. If I get more than that I’ll give it to a charity that I can talk to the people at Fundly about and if it’s allowed send everyone who finds it in there heart to a personal thank you letter.. I hope I’m doing this right I’ve never in 53 yrs had to ask for help before. The world became a little dimmer this past weekend with the loss of two very special and deeply in love people. My beautiful parents who I miss terribly. This hurt will take a very long time to pass. Hopefully someday I’ll be able to smile again but not for a while.
