Hunger is a global issue that can often be overlooked. However, the health disparity across families in the US has been remarkable in light of COVID-19.

It doesn't just happen in third-world countries - people down the street from you may have just lost their job, and don't care to admit it.

Graduate students who have families to support rely on food stamps, farm shares and donations.

Children in black and hispanic neighborhoods may not have close access to grocery stores therefore limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

I'm Karli LeFort and I share a love of art and treating the cause of hunger. My vision is to donate the proceeds of your purchased prints to Project Bread, an organization that has proven have great solutions for hunger and poverty in Massachusetts.

As of May 2020, they have assisted in the formation of 1,600 school meal sites around Massachusetts and have partnered with DTA to support the formation of Pandemic SNAP benefits to ensure that students are receiving food benefits during COVID-19. They also contributed to Breakfast After the Bell and the Healthy Incentives Program.

I've participated in the Project Bread Walk for Hunger for 4 years now, and have raised a tens of thousand dollars with Carter Memorial United Methodist Church! One year I learned that ⅓ of all the landfills in the world contain food waste and this could be sufficient to feed the 734 million people that fall below the poverty line (according to the World Bank Organization). Project Bread is a great cause because they continuously make efforts to relieve hunger - plus, many people participate in this 20 mile walk in May to show our spirits!

For this reason, I will be having events when I walk 20 miles and rely on your contributions!

We will be raising $10,000 starting September 1st 2020 and right now I have already raised $460.
