Hey Pete, Great initiative! The bike path will be a great thing for Perth for years to come

Key Information for Plungers

  • Anyone can create a TEAM! You can be the team captain, share with others and ask them to join.
  • Challenge others to a competition for most funds raised!
  • Please register on fundly.com and share your page to collect pledges online. You can also collect cash and cheques from friends, relatives and/or co-workers – they will be happy to sponsor your jump into the river for a great cause!
  • Pledge sheets can be downloaded here or hard copies picked up at the Fire Hall (1881 Rogers Rd), The Beer Store, Barnabe's Indpendent, the Perth Library, or the Legion.
  • Donations can be made online using credit card (our Stripe account is managed by the Town of Perth) and can be directed to your individual and team total amounts.
  • There is a minimum pledge total of $35 for each plunger.  Keep all cheques and money collected and pledge sheets safe in a large envelope and hand them in when you register for the plunge on January 1st.
  • Don’t forget that Plungers eat free at our delicious breakfast in the Legion. All others are welcome to eat for a modest fee ($10 adults, $5 children).
  • Wear some sort of footwear (not filp slops!) and avoid clothing that will soak up water for when you plunge (less is more). Bring a towel and warm, dry clothes to change into (change rooms in the Legion).
  • We welcome teams of plungers and can have up to 4 people plunging at one time (safety first!).
  • Tuques will be given to the first 50 online plungers (donated by Urban Hearth and Perth Planing Mill). Tuques can also be purchased for $35 - they make great gifts!
  • Being a spectator is also a great way to support the community.
  • Make sure to follow our Facebook page for updates of the Bike Park's opening!
