More Info

As said above this pageant fundraiser is close to my heart, as my mom and aunts have it and I may as well. It's a horrible auto-immune disease that many people have no clue what it is or how it can change your life in very negative ways. I want this money to go to research for a cure so when my son gets older he will not suffer from this as a lot of our family does.

Every donor will be listed on the pageant page until next years fundraiser if he/she/they would like. Corporate sponsors are welcome as well.  Here is some additional information about the pageant and it's purpose via the director's mission statement.

Pageant For a Purpose: Fibromyalgia

One mission of IE Pageantry is to incorporate fundraising for a cause into two of our pageants annually.  These pageants will be known as Pageants for a Purpose.  Our upcoming pageant, Southern Belles and Gents, is one of these pageants.  The cause that we have chosen for this pageant is Fibromyalgia.

About five million Americans are affected with Fibromyalgia.   Fibromyalgia is the most common musculoskeletal condition after osteoarthritis.  Fibromyalgia syndrome affects the muscles and soft tissue. Symptoms of Fibromyalgia include chronic pain in the muscles, fatigue, sleep problems, and painful tender points or trigger points at certain parts of the body.  It is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood.  It is imperative that new studies and research is done to bring hope to those people affected and their families.  There are many organizations that aid in promoting Fibromyalgia awareness and raising money to help with further research in diagnosing and finding cures for this condition.

IE Pageantry is asking that you take action and help support this cause. Please use the attached sponsor sheet to get donations from family, friends, associates, etc.  All monies will need to be turned in during check in on pageant day.  A portion of the money raised will be donated to the NFRA- National Fibromyalgia Research Association. Every person who donates will be listed on our pageant website until the next Pageant for a Purpose.  Individual donors who donate the most money overall will be mailed special thank you gifts from IE. On pageant day, we will also have various items that can be purchased. A portion of these proceeds will also go to the NFRA. This fundraising event is NOT mandatory, however, we are asking for your support and participation.  You can find more information about Fibromyalgia or the NFRA by visiting their website at http://www.nfra.net/. If there are any questions or concerns, please free to contact us.

Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. Every single dollar helps raise awareness and funds research. There is no donation too small! Thank you for your time.
