Our little Yorkie, Romeo Lorenzo, 13 years old has Primary Adenocarcinoma of the anal sac. It is a rare disease with a poor prognosis and thus tends to have a more aggressive treatment involving a surgical approach. The surgery requires a specialist which comes with enormous cost. We've always taken care of our dogs, trying to give them the love and care they deserve as a vital part of our family. We've always felt if we take responsibility for them, reap the love and devotion they bring to us, it's our duty to help them live long and healthy lives if possible. As with most of us, it's been a very tough year and we are finding this unexpected cost a bit daunting. Romeo has stood by us in the happiest of times and the worst of times. Now, we need to be there for him but it's going to be very hard. We are filled with fear and heartache at what the future will hold. He has been our protector, our friend, a part of our family for 13 years. He has given so much, now we have to do what we can to give back to him. My husband and I have dedicated ourselves to helping others with their pets so we are not used to being on the other side of needing help. We know these are hard times, we know many are struggling, to ask for help right now seems unbearable to us but we need to offer Ro the best of options to beat this disease. Any amount can help our boy and help to restore him to good health. We can't think of life without him. Times are hard for so many, not just us so if you can't donate, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We can never have enough prayers.
