Attorney's fees for illegal adoption and a 1983 violation of rights under color of law. In 2018 our daughter was illegally taken by a caseworker who had no legal standing.

We want you all to know that the corrupt practices taking place affect not only us or other families going through this but it affects you as well. When our government has gotten out of control and there is no longer oversight, we are in a heap of trouble.
This campaign is not about an abused or neglected child being taken. Like many other families, child welfare agencies are violating the very laws that are supposed to keep them in check. They have too much financial incentive and the agenda is very evil.
When our seven-year-old daughter, Lainey, was taken from us, our world was flipped upside down. Night after night, I lie awake wondering when my heart will be made whole again. When will I be able to kiss my child again, tuck her in for the night, watch her grow up, nurture her interests, or make her favorite dinner? It’s a question to which I have no answer. And we are needlessly being refused to see her. Both Kevin and I were adopted. The trauma of adoption is one that never heals. Most adoptions carried out are not what the public is led to believe and they are unnecessary. This situation is especially evil.
On April 4, 2018, while I was receiving medical care at the hospital, a representative of Lubbock County’s Child Protective Services (CPS) wrongfully seized Lainey while she was in the care of my next-door neighbor. From that day forward, Lainey’s father, Kevin, and I have desperately fought to get her back. Unfortunately, we’ve only been met with pervasive corruption on the part of law enforcement, CPS, and the court.
Through their unlawful actions, Lainey has been placed with her estranged, biological, older half-sister, who is Kevin’s daughter. This woman had never been an active part of Lainey’s life until that point, making her a stranger to our child. Although it was originally intended to be a temporary placement, extensive fraudulent efforts have been made to keep her there, much of which have been made based on horrendously fallacious claims from Lainey’s half-sister, her wife, social workers, therapists, police officers, lawyers, and judges. Our daughter has since become the victim of an illegal adoption, as a result. And we aren’t even sure if our little girl is happy or healthy. We suspect she is being psychologically manipulated, and we are certain that she misses her beloved mother and father.
To this day, the state has yet to explain their reasoning for their decisions and actions and we have never been offered the opportunity to legally reclaim our roles as Lainey’s parents, despite our numerous appeals and unanswered questions and communications. This is not a case of oversight, but rather one that involves crime, bribery, exploitation, lies, and deep injustice. And we are not alone in our experience. In fact, my research has revealed that countless other Americans have suffered through similar stories involving the unlawful and permanent removal of their children.
Many people are unaware that, in many if not most counties, CPS has contracted their work out to corporations, much like that which has happened in our prison system. Subsequently, a great deal of money exchanges hands between the government and these companies for human lives. Each child that enters their system has a price tag attached, creating an unjust environment rife with incentive to do what is more lucrative than to do what is ethical.
At the time our child was taken from us, her father and I had been divorced for nearly six years. However, we always remained friendly and were able to co-parent excellently, ensuring Lainey had a happy, balanced, and fulfilling life with both of her parents in the picture. Kevin and I have been each other’s main source of support as this tragedy has unfolded, which has ultimately rekindled our love for each other. Our faith in the Lord and our Savior, Jesus Christ, has been our greatest source of strength throughout this ordeal.
Two and half years after losing Lainey, we remain staunchly committed to reuniting our family. Our hearts are heavy over the time we’ve lost with our beautiful daughter, but we are hopeful we will have many happy moments together in the near future – especially with help and support from others, as we’ve exhausted all of our resources to fight this case. Any funds we are able to raise will be used to replace the court-appointed attorneys who have (maybe even intentionally) failed us, as well as any associated court costs. We intend to sue for wrongful adoption and possibly a 1983 violation of rights under color of law.
This ordeal has not been solely about us. The child welfare system is broken. We speak to other parents, support them, and try to offer guidance. We hope to push a successful case to help others. I, the mother, have been studying the laws for nearly two years and the problem we have is that they aren't following the laws in place. This is parental alienation and it's senseless. It's parental alienation by third-parties for selfish gain.
