Our Mission

In 2003 we opened a studio in Eugene with the dream of training kids to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.  For some, that meant moving forward to professional careers in the Arts.  For others, serious dance, serious fun.  For everyone, that meant character building for future success through fostering the skills of focus, hard work and dedication.

It is through the generosity of donors like you that we have been able to turn this dream into a reality.  The Oregon Ballet Foundation raises the funds that are desperately needed to serve the dreams of our dancers as well as the community who has come to love and admire the unbelievable talent and performances we offer.  This allows us to keep tuition at OBA limited to only the funds required to cover operational costs.  This will be our only fundraiser this year so every dollar counts.

Your tax deductible donations will support:

• $2500 for the free Boy's Program - This program truly changes lives and is fully funded through donors.  We are proud that our Boy's Program has received national recognition.
• $8000 in Scholarships - We use these scholarships to cover tuition.  For some, this means getting the opportunity to dance.  For others, this means not having to quit when times are hard.  We now have OBA alumni with amazing professional careers that would never have begun without these funds.  
• $10,000 for Flooring - When we relocated our studio several years ago we repurposed our old floors and brought them with us.  These floors have supported many talented feet over the years but have deteriorated enough the surface is no longer safe and we need to replace them.
• $6000 in Performance Fees - Performances benefit not only the students, but enrich the community as a whole.  Anyone who has stepped through the doors of an OBA performance or stood on the stage under the lights with pride will have an experience of a lifetime.  It is a gift for all those involved.  Our performances cost $30,000 and we cover $24,000 through ticket sales and performance fees.  OBF covers the remaining required funds.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity.  We are proud of what we have accomplished and the contributions we have made to enrich Eugene and the lives of our dancers.
