The Rho Chapter Alphas are raising money to provide coats and cold accessories to children in the Philadelphia area. Please consider supporting our effort to keep kids warm this coming winter.
Operation 1914 is a community service program of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Rho Chapter and The Rho Education Foundation where we are closing the gap on the number of kids that are without coats each winter. Through our efforts, we have served over 500 families, raising more than $20,000.00 through generous contributions from our donors and sponsors. With your donation, each kid will be given $50 to buy a coat and cold accessories (hat, gloves, scarf, thermals) of his/her choice to keep warm during the winter.
* In the city of Philadelphia, 1 out of 6 kids go without a coat each Winter.
* Kids are more inclined to wear coats they picked out themselves.
