Update #2

I just want to let everyone know how thankful I am for all of your support whether it be through a like, a share, a comment, a donation, words of encouragement, hugs, and everything in between. This truly is one of the greatest opportunities that I have been given in my life thus far and without you, I would not be able to take advantage of it. I wish that I could do more than say "thank you" because those words do not adequately express what I feel, but they will have to work for now so thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL! <3 <3

More Info

Hi everyone! As some of you know, I found out today that I have been accepted as a *potential* MFA in Theatre candidate at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. My interview will be the weekend of March 3rd - March 4th and I need help with travel expenses, hotel fees, food, etc.

As is, the hotel that I will be staying at, the Hyatt, costs $159 per night; it is located 15 minutes from the campus and I will be staying there for 3 nights. In addition, flights that I am looking at are running around $350 round trip between OKC and NY; these numbers do not include taxes, food, or additional fees like cab services and whatnot.

I believe 100% that Sarah Lawrence is the best place for me as I continue my academic and theatrical journey and ask for any donation even if all that you can give is $5.00. Thank you to everyone for your past, present, and (hopefully) future support!

For those of you who don't know me,or are just curious as to why theatre or Sarah Lawrence, I believe that theatre is meant to create positive change within communities whether they be in a school, a nursing home, a prison, or a local community center in the middle of the poorest neighborhoods. I believe that theatre is more than a source of entertainment – it’s therapy, a grief counselor, a teacher, a conversation – a tool. I believe that theatre should be accessible to everyone who has an interest in it regardless of race, class, gender, or religion. I believe that the universe has led me to this point because I am meant to do something amazing and I can do that with an education from Sarah Lawrence College that is both interdisciplinary and student centered.

Again, thank you for your time and prayers, good vibes, happy thoughts, blessings, smiles, etc.
