More Info

In our modern world, technology has become a bigger and bigger part of our lives. And since our mission at Extera Public Schools is to prepare our students for success in the 21st Century, it’s more important than ever that they have access to the tools and technologies  that can put them on that path.

Extera currently has a shortage of the computers needed to fully propel our students in their own academic achievement. When kids have to constantly share computers, they miss out on the opportunity to develop vital skills, individual concentration, and connection to the technology. With only one laptop for every eight students, that means students only get to use a computer a few minutes each week; so Diego isn’t nearly as confident in his keyboard abilities as he should be when it come time for the standardized testing that is now done using computers. Or Ruth is unable to complete the research she needs in order to create her class project.

We are working hard to put our students at their best advantage, with a goal of ultimately providing every student a laptop for classroom use. You can help us meet this goal! First, make a tax-deductible contribution that is earmarked for our computer fund. Second, help us spread the word by sharing this campaign with your friends on social media.

We appreciate your generous support! Together, we can Open the World for our students!

Extera Public Schools is a tuition-free charter school serving the urban communities of Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles.
