OLMC, PARENTS GUILD
Catholic schools are making a difference and the Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is leading the way. God is calling upon all of us in different ways during these times and our school is part of his plan for a better world. In the face of a world wide global pandemic - parents, alumni and the parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel seem to agree that we must safely and faithfully remain committed to our children's future.
Academic development, capital improvement of our facilities, arts programming and technologically equipping our learning spaces are some of a few areas where we can do more and if we invest in these areas all of our students will come out of this moment in history stronger, smarter and more equipped in their educational experience.
So, the time is upon us now, as a Parents Guild, to raise the necessary funds to empower our school, it's teachers and this wonderful community. WE LOVE OUR SCHOOL- this is our moment, Warriors!
To fully realize our important task and equip our students for our post pandemic "new-normal", our school has embarked on an ambitious initiative to provide for this generation of students- NOW. Prior campaigns have helped sustain our place as one of the best catholic schools in our state, we ask that you support our effort to further enhance our unique faith and empathy based approach to math, science, technology, athletics, and the arts.
Today we ask that you consider making a $100 contribution to enable our school the capital resources to immediately mobilize this plan for our students and teachers.
While normally this kind of fundraising would take place during the school year, the Parents Guild of the Academy, may not be able to host a number of traditional, in person, sales or fundraising events this year. And without the fundraising of the Parents Guild certain resources may not be available to support our vision for a re-imagined facility that continues to support our student's academic and social experience. Current priorities include
* Subsidizing the cost of new teaching tools that reflect recent assessments showing that technology continues to evolve at alarming speeds. This priority can be met with the purchase of the latest software and online applications to enhance student-teacher lessons. Additionally, there is an urgent need for additional tools that can enhance learning for both in-person and remote students so that all Academy students can successfully continue their education with equal access to programming.
* Covering the cost of updated physical classroom spaces so that our school can reaffirm its commitment to providing learning spaces equipped with the latest of learning materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
* Funding academic programs and learning oriented subscriptions along with sustainable capital improvement measures designed to meet this decade's most immediate needs.
The first step to achieving our goal requires us to raise $20,000 no later than December 31, 2020. Again, we are asking for a $100 contribution but we graciously accept whatever amount you can donate.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this TIME SENSITIVE cause that means so much to every parent, every teacher and every child in our school. Your donation will help us empower our children and demonstrate to all, just how much as one community... WE LOVE OUR SCHOOL!
