Oasis Hydroponics has laid the groundwork for the manufacturing of the company's first vertical farming prototype by partnering with a local engineering manufacturer and generating product feasibility and budgetary estimates. Our engineering partners are very excited about bringing the product to market as it will solve
many issues within the vertical farming industry.

More Info

Oasis Hydroponics is a product developer of advanced, affordable and ergonomic vertical farming equipment for urban agriculture startups and large-scale commercial greenhouses. The company also plans to design/build advanced greenhouse envelopes and grow, package and distribute organic leafy vegetables.

In five years the company plans to have international operations contracts in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The company also plans to file patent applications in all territories where the product is sold. Oasis Hydroponics envisions a point in time when vertical farming appliances become a basic household fixtures similar to the washing machine, dryer, stove or refrigerator.

The vertical farming industry is still in its early phases. The current state of the art needs to continue to evolve and utilize advances in technology provided by other sectors. Oasis has filled this gap by developing a product that addresses many of the fundamental issues that continue to fragment controlled environment agriculture technology.

Oasis Hydroponics is currently in startup/concept phase. The biggest obstacle in the project is funding the cost to build the first prototype. The prototype will solidify the proof of concept and provide a tangible means by which additional research and development can be documented. There are also a variety of electromechanical issues that can only be addressed through testing. The temperatures, lighting, nutrient delivery systems and an array of other moving parts need to all be pushed to their limits of operation in order to develop a very strong product for market use.

Oasis Hydroponics competes with a variety of other vertical farming equipment builders/distributors. The competition has taken the basic principle of hydroponics and developed it in a way that is not user centric. Customers who seek to become serious growers are tasked with buying growing equipment at enormous startup costs. The majority of the products are also fragmented so customers are forced to buy nuanced attachments from several inconvenient sources or one source that is overpriced. The sales industry has not understood or investigated the everyday workflow of the customer base. Water sources, growing media, power usage, ergonomics, space use, seedling germination processes and several other requirements are given little thought.

Oasis Hydroponics will generate revenue from three sources; the leasing/sale of the Aqueduct growing units to a wide range of private/public/institutional clients, the sale of organic produce grown by in-house Aqueduct units and through designing advanced commercial greenhouses for other large-scale vegetable farming operations.
