Nur Academy, the school associated with the Islamic Society of Sarasota-Bradenton, is fundraising for supplies for courses such as art and technology, and for resources like testing. All donations will be matched!
Our fundraising campaign begins today! We hope to raise $4,500 in two months. Please show your support for early education, the Islamic faith, or the Sarasota-Bradenton communities by donating to Nur Academy now!
Nur Academy is a private, Islamic school serving the cities of Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida. We currently serve grades K-4 and employ 6 community members 5 as teachers and 1 as caretaker of the school. We are proud to be a school of Arab, Indian, and Turkish Americans. Nur Academy's mission is to provide quality academic and Islamic education that prepares students to become strong, ethically and morally responsible members of the community and leaders of the future.
Alhamdulillah, most of our students are awarded scholarships through the Florida Department of Education. These funds, however, do not cover the full cost of the school. We are asking for donations for the following items:
- headphones for computers to allow the students to work individually online
- WiFi routers for better internet access throughout the school
- art supplies such as paints, colorful paper, felt, hot glue, beads, and more
- funds for the Star 360 interim progress assessments
- STEM activity and experiment kits
- face masks
- hand sanitizer
- antibacterial sprays
NOTE: All donations up tp $4,400 will be matched by Prudential's Benevity campaign! So, a donation of $50, is really $100. This means even the smallest donation will go a long way.
