Many public servant in Burma who have joined the civil disobedience movement (CDM) will no longer receive their paychecks - that's hundreds of thousands of people of not millions. They have sacrificed their livelihood and sources of income to reverse the balance of power in Burma by resisting the military coup that took place on Feb 1, 2021. The purple of Burma want democratically elected leaders to govern their nation. I will use this money to set up emergency assistance funds for public servants (teachers, office clerks, medical workers, etc) who will need help paying for basic needs while they are protesting through their participation in CDM. This funding amount requested on this platform is 10% of the overall ask launched via FB fundraiser. Even the c total finding request of ($15280.00) will not last for long but it will help us develop an actionable level of support amidst surrounding instabilities. This emergency funding will be distributed in partnership with TRUSTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS inside the country. They are locals with local connections..they are WOUNDED HEALERS. I can't reveal all the details to protect these individuals' security. The military junta in Burma plans to crack down as many pro-democracy movers and c shakers and that is a fact globally known. I ask that you give out of trust and generosity. I can only give you my word that I won't waste your contribution. Best, Charis
