Puget Sound Energy is proposing expansion of nearly 6 miles of the North Seattle Lateral pipeline in south Snohomish County next summer, harming threatened salmon in 15 streams and raising greenhouse gas emissions 3-5%!
The Snohomish County Planning Department has approved the permit for the North Seattle Lateral Upgrade- a proposed 6 mile long fracked gas pipeline in south Snohomish County. We are appealing the decision, and have been working to stop the project's permitting, together with Protectors of the Salish Sea, 350 Seattle, Mothers Out Front Puget Sound, PIlchuck Audobon and the Sierra Club.
We are hosting a Community Forum at Brightwater Center November 7, 6:30-8:30pm, as well as a link for public comment on the project. Help our coalition encourage 100% clean energy adoption in Washington State, rather than allowing PSE to lock us in to decades more fossil fuel emissions!
